@X082@X05.@X0803 @X03 ROCKET ENGINE POWDER
@X08 One of the most exciting hobbies nowadays is model rocketry@X05.@X08 Estes is
the largest producer of model rocket kits and engines@X05.@X08 Rocket engines are
composed of a single large grain of propellant@X05.@X08 This grain is surrounded by
a fairly heavy cardboard tubing@X05.@X08 One gets the propellant by slitting the tube
lengthwise@X05,@X08 and unwrapping it like a paper towel roll@X05.@X08 When this is done@X05,@X08 the
grey fire clay at either end of the propellant grain must be removed@X05.@X08 This is
usually done gently with a plastic or brass knife@X05.@X08 The material is exceptionally
hard@X05,@X08 and must be crushed to be used@X05.@X08 By gripping the grain on the widest
setting on a set of pliers@X05,@X08 and putting the grain and powder in a plastic bag@X05,@X08
the powder will not break apart and shatter all over@X05.@X08 This should be done to
all the large chunks of powder@X05,@X08 and then it should be crushed like black powder
Rocket engines come in various sizes@X05,@X08 ranging from 1@X05/@X084 A @X05-@X08 2T to the incredibly
powerful D engines@X05.@X08 The larger the engine@X05,@X08 the more expensive@X05.@X08 D engines come
in packages of three@X05,@X08 and cost about $5@X05.@X0800 per package@X05.@X08 Rocket engines are
perhaps the single most useful item sold in stores to a terrorist@X05,@X08 since they
can be used as is@X05,@X08 or can be cannibalized for their explosive powder@X05.@X08
